
Easter activities provided lots of fun for 40 children in Streatham. An Easter project ran at the John Corfield Centre from 7-9 April and 14-16 April, providing workshop in the morning and related trips out in the afternoon. Subjects included Sports, Art, and Lifeskills.
The Art Group worked on making candles, t- shirts, pottery and painting. For their trip they went to the Southbank Centre where they took part in multimedia art class, toured the MTV studios and also enjoyed the experience of being part of a studio audience.
The Life Skills Group learned how to make simple recipes and worked on producing a simple menu. The group were also given a very useful practical lesson in emergency First Aid from the Metropolitan Police's Safer Neighbourhoods Team.
The Sports Group played badminton, football, netball, and basketball. They went to Selhurst Park Stadium to watch Crystal Palace play Derby County, visited Tooting Bec Athletics Track and went swimming.
