Streatham Youth and Community Trust is delighted to say we are the recipients of a Community Commitment Award from The International Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Awards. The prize giving took place on Friday, 9 June in the Houses of Parliament. Recipients for the various categories flew in from all over the world. There is an emphasis on organisations helping with green and environmentally sustainable practices. Angie Foran, CEO, said 'It was a great honour to receive an award for our work in developing community facilities'.

Everyone Loves A Picnic!For the third year running, Streatham Youth and Community Trust, in partnership with The Friends of Streatham Vale Park, are holding a free family event in Streatham Vale Park, Abercairn Road, London SW16 5AL from 12pm – 4pm on Saturday 8th July.
Bring your own picnic or make a purchase from our BBQ while you listen to live music from local musicians. There will be children’s activities available including bouncy castle, face painting, games and sports. Get the whole family involved in tug-o-war, tennis, football, arts & craft making and egg & spoon races. Streatham Youth and Community Trust are a local charity delivering high quality play and youth work in Streatham since 1946. Our services are either free or very low cost meaning they are accessible to everyone. We provide play activities in the park 5 days a week, all year round and youth clubs 4 nights a week. Our aims are to help local children make and sustain healthy friendships and relationships, to build confidence and self-esteem, build resilience, develop new skills and raise aspirations. |
